Anyone who’s never tasted cake batter ice cream can’t begin to imagine what they’re missing. It’s a delicious vanilla flavor ten steps above plain old vanilla. And just like the name describes, it has a vanilla cake flavor to it also.
Over the years I’ve tried quite a few different brands of ice cream in this flavor. Most of them have been good but nothing compares to this homemade recipe. I don’t know why it never occurred to me that cake batter ice cream would actually have cake batter in it. But it does!
This ice cream tastes amazing! It has a much deeper cake batter flavor than any store bought I’ve had. And it’s super smooth and creamy.
I know one thing, I’ll never buy store bought cake batter ice cream ever again. I will only make it by hand in the future. I’m even thinking of trying a few different cake batter flavors like butter pecan, lemon and strawberry.

I’m always looking through my pantry to see what goodies I can come up with without going to the store. A bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips caught my eye this time.
At first I was going to just make chocolate chip ice cream but I kinda think that’s boring. Chocolate chips just don’t do that much to vanilla ice cream in my opinion. So instead, I wanted to do chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips in it.
I went in search of just the right recipe and came to choose one from the Nestle kitchens. It’s an easy recipe that only takes a few minutes prep time before putting into your ice cream machine. The end result is a nice and sweet creamy chocolate ice cream dotted with chocolate chips.

Last week it was so stinking hot and humid here in Western PA. The last thing I wanted to do was cook dinner and make my house even hotter. But I was willing to make some cool, refreshing homemade ice cream.
I was thrilled to come across this easy ice cream recipe. It requires no eggs and no cooking of the base. Just a few simple ingredients mixed together.
The result is ice cream that is the creamiest that I have made so far. It is so velvety smooth and packed with peanut butter flavor. I used a whole bag of the new mini Reeses unwrapped peanut butter cups. They are perfectly bite sized for ice cream.

I don’t know why I never thought of this before but Natalie’s Killer Cuisine gave me a great idea. Using chocolate milk to make creamy and delicious chocolate milk ice cream!
This chocolate ice cream turns out so good. It’s got a nice smooth chocolate flavor that reminds me a lot of a Wendy’s chocolate frosty. It couldn’t be any easier to make or taste any better in my opinion!
