Revlon Bold Lacquer by Grow Luscious is a length and volume mascara available in regular and waterproof formulas. For summer I chose to go with the waterproof in blackest black. The formula is made to give your lashes a lacquered look along with fibers that help lengthen.
I love the teal and blue packaging which reminds me of cool, refreshing water. The brush is pretty generous in size but not too clumsy. It’s still fairly easy to get it close to your lash line and into the corners without making a major mess.
I find that the formula is a bit on the drier side. It takes a bit of effort for it to actually transfer to my lashes. I just have to keep wiggling it back and forth through my lashes to get it to start to build up. I do apply two coats of this mascara but wait a minute between for it to dry a little first.
Once on, I do think it gives me some added volume and added length. My second coat is fairly light though cause this tends to start to get a bit clumpy with the second coat. I like my lashes to look nicely separated and defined so I don’t go overboard with this one.
I do like that even though this is a drier formula, that gets a little clumpy, I don’t have any issues with flaking at all. I also don’t experience any transfer or smudging even in the humid weather we’ve been having.
Overall I do enjoy this mascara. It’s not something I’d say you need to run right out for but it is quite good at what it claims to do. Have you tried Revlon Bold Lacquer yet?
