After many disappointing months with Birchbox, I decided to go back to the My Glam bag which is now Ipsy. It had been almost a year since I got my last My Glam bag but I’d been following their progress and noticed that they were sending out much better bags since I was last subscribed. So I cancelled Birchbox and decided to give Ipsy another try.
I have to say that the April 2013 Ipsy bag was impressive. For the $10 subscription price, everyone received 3 full sized products and one deluxe size sample. The three full sized products were all shades of pink which I love!
Ipsy April 2013 Included:
Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Blush in Sweet Cheeks – This is a beautiful pink blush! It has a satin finish to it that makes your cheeks glow without tons of shimmery specks. It has a nice smooth velvety texture and is easy to blend out.
Two Cosmetics Eyeshadow Duo in Heartache – Two shades of nicely pigmented eyeshadow in tones of pink. One side is a light shimmery pink and the other side is a matte rose pink color. These eyeshadows also apply and blend out smoothly.
Sation Nail Polish in Of Corset I’ll Call You – This is a light baby pink cream color. The formula is quite thin and applies on the sheer side but three light coats will give you nice opaque color.
Healthy Sexy Hair Nourishing Styling Treatment – An argan oil based hair product that is supposed to tame frizz on dry hair or speed drying time on wet hair. I need all the help I can get for my curly frizz prone hair so I’m excited to try this. Smells amazing!
Everything came packaged in a white and pink trimmed bag. The inside is lined with pink and white striped Ipsy branded fabric. The bag is cute but the white fabric gets dirty really easily which makes it not very practical.
As you can see. the April 2013 Ipsy bag was a great deal for the $10 price tag. I enjoyed everything I received this month and can’t wait to see next month’s bag. Are you an Ipsy subscriber? If you are, let me know what you thought of this month’s products.
