Flower Lip Service Lip Butter Review and Swatches

Flower Lip Service Lip Butter

Today I’m showing you another product from the Flower cosmetics line from Drew Barrymore.  It’s the Lip Service Lip Butter ($6.98) we’ll be taking a closer look at today.  There are 9 different shades available and I picked up two to try, Haute Honeysuckle and Wispy Wisteria.

Let’s first talk about the packaging which is a bit big and bulky.  It’s definitely not something that you could slip discreetly into your pocket.  The tube is a bit wide and flares out on the top and bottom.  The lids are colored to match the shade inside making it a bit hard to gauge the actual color of the product before buying it.  I had to just take a stab in the dark and hope the color was remotely close to what the lid showed.  As it turns out, the colors aren’t an exact match but pretty close.

The one bad thing is that the tubes are sealed with a label containing the shade color.  Once you remove that label, the color is not marked anywhere on the actual tube.  That’s no biggie right now but what about a year or so from now when you can’t remember what the color is.  That’s one thing I hope they improve on.  It’s confusing to me cause the bottoms are definitely large enough for them to print the names on the bottom of the packaging.

I’m really impressed by the pigmentation that these have.  I wasn’t expecting much from these Flower lip butters but maybe a little tint but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of color they give my lips.  I’d say they have just as much pigmentation as a Revlon Lip Butter does.

They also feel amazing on the lips.  They’e nice and creamy to apply and leave my lips feeling nicely moisturized.  They don’t feel drying at all and have a nice amount of shine to them.  I actually like the texture of these a bit more than the Revlon version.  The Flower lip butters are softer and feel more like a balm than a lipstick.

All in all, this is another win from the Flower cosmetics line.  I have nothing but good things to say about these.  The only downer is the labeling issue but that wouldn’t keep me from buying more.  What do you think?

Seems like these lip butters would be perfect to just slap on and go! They look great.

Yes, Keyana, they are good when you’re in a hurry but you still want a bit of color and shine on your lips.
