Flower Peach Blossom Win Some, Rouge Some Cream Blush

As you may know, Drew Barrymore recently released her Walmart exclusive makeup line called Flower.  I scoured high and low to find a Walmart closest to me that had it displayed in the store.  Of course none of the stores right near me carried it yet so I had to travel a bit to find it.  You can buy the products on the Walmart website but most of the items I wanted to try were out of stock online plus I wanted to see them in person first.

The first product I want to talk about is the Win Some, Rouge Some Cream Blush ($7.98).  These little cream blush pots come in 6 different shades, I chose Peach Blossom to try.  They come in a nice compact square container with a flip top lid.  The cream blush portion itself is about the size of a quarter.

It’s quite deceiving, but there’s actually a good amount of product in this tiny package.  As compared to a NYX cream blush whose packaging is quite large in comparison, the Flower contains a bit more.  NYX cream blush contains 0.12oz while this Flower cream blush is 0.14oz.  I happen to prefer the smaller packaging.  It fits easily in a small makeup bag for travelling and takes up way less storage space.

The texture of this Flower cream blush is quite good.  Upon first glance, it looks a bit dry in the packaging and not as wet as other brands.  But once you swirl your finger in it a bit and warm it up, it’s actually very creamy.  It blends out really nicely too.

Pigmentation is great also for my fair skin.  This shade may be a bit too light for darker skintones but it can easily be built up a bit too.  This shade gives my cheeks a nice hint of peachy pink color.  As far as wear, I get the average 4 hours before fading starts with my oily skin.  That’s the same as I get with any cream blush, so not bad.

So have you tried any of the new Flower cosmetics yet?  I have another blush/bronzer duo and a couple lip butters from the line to show you soon.

How pretty! I’m very fair as well and this looks like a lovely shade for spring. I may have to pick it up!

Thanks Amy. I’m really enjoying it so far. You’re very fair like me so I think you’d like the shade on you.
