This is one of my all time favorite recipes…ever!! My mom has been making this recipe for years and I LOVE it. There’s just something about the combination of the creamy, cheesy broccoli topped with delicious Stove Top stuffing. Yum!
I didn’t realize that I even had this recipe in my possession. So when I found it in my recipe box, I got so excited to try making it myself.
She must have given me the recipe years ago and I shoved it in my recipe box and forgot I had it. Stupid me, I won’t make that mistake ever again!
Ingredients:
- 20oz frozen broccoli
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 8oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 box Stove Top stuffing (prepared)
- 1/4 cup butter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, mix together the first 6 ingredients. Pour into a greased 13×9 baking dish.
- Evenly top the broccoli mixture with the prepared stuffing.
- Slice butter thinly and place evenly on top of stuffing. Bake for 40 minutes or until edges are bubbling.

Thanks for commenting Naomi. It’s an excellent way to disquise broccoli for picky eaters too!

Have you ever tried adding meat to this to make it a complete meal? (i.e. crumbled sausage or chicken) Looks great!
Amanda says
Thanks Christy. No I’ve never made it with meat in it but I bet it would work. Let me know if you try it, I’d love to hear how it turns out!
Aivi says
What size can of cream of mushroom did you use?
myfindsonline says
Hi Aivi. They are the standard sized can such as Campbell’s. I believe they are 10.5oz each.

Made this today for a family dinner. All 3 grandchildren (15, 13 and 11) had seconds. Sent the link to their mom, my daughter, at her request. We all enjoyed it!

It’s always a good thing when the kids will eat it! Glad everyone enjoyed it.
Brenda Morris says
will cream of chicken soup taste good in this recipe instead of the mushroom soup?
myfindsonline says
Hi Brenda. I believe that would work just fine.
Brenda Morris says
oh thank you so much..I can’t wait to try it for Christmas dinner…and I’m sending one to my sister’s house too..
myfindsonline says
Hope you like it. Just put together a triple batch for our Christmas Eve bash. It’s a staple for my family!

I use cream of chicken soup. I also use sour cream instead of mayo and milk. Drop the onion and add French fried onion strings on top when you bake it. I also use chicken broth when making the stuffing instead of water.

I made this for Christmas. Only thing I did differently was add a package of onion soup mix instead of chopped onion.. Everyone loved it.

That’s great! So glad it was a hit. Thanks for sharing!

What flavor Stove Top? Chicken, savory herbs, cornbread
myfindsonline says
Hi Jody. I usually use chicken but any flavor would work. Whatever your preference is. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your response!

Stuffing is prepared, but not cooked?
myfindsonline says
Yep, prepare as package directs then top casserole before baking.
