I spotted some new lip gloss at Wal-Mart the other morning, Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss ($5.50). There are a total of 12 shades available in this line. I was first drawn to the lighter pink shades because that’s always what I lean towards. But I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for something bolder. I chose the color Plum Luster.
Plum Luster is a deep raspberry red shade that I thought would be good for fall. It has tiny flecks of glitter in this one but not all the colors do. For the price, it’s a nice generous sized lip gloss at 0.17oz. The lip gloss itself has a very faint light fruity scent but no flavor.
With one swipe on my lips, I knew I was going to love this lip gloss. It applies so smoothly and evenly. I was worried that the glitter would be gritty but I can’t feel it at all. There is absolutely zero stickiness also. It’s wear time on my lips is about the average of a standard lip gloss, it will need reapplied often throughout the day.
The color is amazing! Plum Luster is so pigmented that you only need a thin layer to give your lips a great pop of color. And with this shade, you don’t need a stitch of lipstick underneath. It gives you all the color you could need with just the gloss.
I really love this Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine lip gloss for the price! And if you could snag it during a buy one, get one 50% off sale, that would be even more amazing! I think it’s totally worth trying out, what do you think?

Wow that is SO pretty on you. Definitely not the color I was expecting it to be from looking at the tube, but I like how it looks on your lips a lot!
