Fresh peaches are just coming into season so I couldn’t help but snag some at the grocery store the other day. I really wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them but I knew I’d think of something tasty.
So, last night I got a hankering for some homemade crisp and luckily my peaches were here to volunteer for the job.
My homemade peach crisp turned out so very tasty. I ate my serving while it was still nice and warm.
I had to stop myself from eating the whole pan! If only I had some vanilla bean ice cream for on top.
Ingredients:
- 4 - 5 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup oats
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 stick of cold butter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Mix the first 4 ingredients in a bowl then transfer to a medium sized baking dish.
- Mix the oats, brown sugar and flour together. Cut in the cold butter until crumbles form. Pour evenly over the top of the peaches
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until top is browned and edges are bubbling.
