It’s pretty fitting that February’s Beauty Box 5 was all about kissable lips for Valentine’s Day. We received four full sized products including a lip liner, liquid lipstick, a lip balm and more. Let’s take a closer look at everything.
If you don’t already know about Beauty Box 5, it’s a monthly subscription service that sends five travel-sized, deluxe-sized and full-sized cosmetic products straight to your front door for only $12 per month.
Jean Pierre Pink Moisturizing Lip Mask ($1) – Prep your lips with this 15 minute mask to make them smooth and moisturized.
Tint Beauty Unicorn Liner in Forever After ($7) – A nicely pigmented lip liner in a pretty medium pink color. It has a nice matte finish and great coverage if you want to cover your entire lips.
Tint Beauty Unicorn Lippie in Forever After ($9) – A highly pigmented liquid lipstick with a metallic finish. It is super drying and I’m not a fan of how badly it accentuates the lines in my lips.
Style Essentials Lip Glow in Blush ($4) – A very sheer, almost clear colored creamy lip balm crayon. Mine was broken from the tube during shipping but I was able to loosen it from the cap and smoosh it back into the tube. It smells so good, just like strawberries.
So Susan Colour Hybrid in Marsala ($17.50) – A creamy mousse pigment that can be used either on the lips or on the cheeks. This is hella pigmented so a tiny speck is all you need.
I have mixed thoughts on this month’s box. The lip liner is great and lip masks are always nice to have.
Not a fan of the liquid lippie so I won’t use that at all. And the packaging of the So Susan mousse is just too much of a pain to use so I know I’ll never reach for it.
The retail value of my product samples came to $38.50. Are you a Beauty Box 5 subscriber yet? For a monthly subscription fee of $12, you receive a box of goodies just like this in the mail each month.
