If you’ve ever been to Red Lobster, you know how mouth watering delicious their cheddar garlic biscuits are. This biscuit recipe is for an almost perfect copy of the original.
They are light and fluffy with plenty of cheese running throughout. The tops are smothered with delicious buttery garlic and oregano. Yum!
These cheddar garlic biscuits were a huge hit for Easter dinner this year. They are best when served warm but I also ate a few the next day cold and they were just as tasty. I will definitely make this recipe over and over again!
Ingredients:
- 1 box Jiffy buttermilk biscuit mix
- 1 & 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- In a mixing bowl; combine the biscuit mix, cheese and milk. (Dough will be very sticky.)
- Drop by large spoonful onto a greased or parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- While biscuits are baking; melt butter, oregano, garlic powder and salt in the microwave.
- Remove biscuits from oven and brush the tops with the melted butter mixture. Put back in the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Lower oven temp to 350° and bake for another 5 minutes. Tops should be golden brown. Enjoy!

I can’t find Jiffy biscuit mix. What else could I use and how much?
Love the sweet cornbread by the way!

Hi Brad. Any other boxed biscuit mix or packet should work just fine.
