My First Experience With Little Black Bag

Have you heard of the website called Little Black Bag?  This site is becoming wildly popular with bloggers and YouTubers lately.  So being as curious as I am, I decided I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

Little Black Bag is another monthly subscription service similar to Birchbox and MyGlam.  The difference is that it’s not makeup related, it’s more centered around handbags and jewelry.  It costs a little under $55 with shipping.  Sounds like a lot right?  That was my initial thought too.  But don’t worry, you get 3 or more items worth over $100 in total.

How Little Black Bag works is once a month you get to choose one item of your liking.  Choose wisely, because the rest you can’t really control.  Don’t go for something cheap as your first pick, choose a higher priced item that you absolutely love.  After you choose your first item, Little Black Bag puts 2 -3 additional items in your bag.

The really cool aspect of Little Black Bag is the ability to trade your items.  Yep, you heard me right. Don’t like the other items in your bag?  You get 7 days to trade your items with other members with open bags.  Peruse the hundreds of available products and try your hand at trading.  You may not always be successful in getting what you absolutely love but I had good luck in getting things I really liked both in this bag and in August’s bag, which is on it’s way.

Don’t see anything you like for your first pick?  You have the option of skipping that month’s bag if you choose.  All you have to do is click the skip your bag button and you will not be charged for that month.  Interesting concept right?  I think it’s lots of fun!

As you can see, my items in my bag were worth $84 so I saved $29 off retail prices.  I really liked everything I received.  The wallet is much bigger than I expected and the colors are really pretty.  I’m an earring fanatic so I knew I couldn’t go wrong with earrings and I was right.  I love both pairs and I will get tons of use out of them.

All in all, I’d recommend anyone who loves handbags and jewelry to give Little Black Bag a try.  It’s a nice little treat once a month for yourself and fun to see what you end up with in your bag.  You can join Little Black Bag here.
