Ever since I started making my own homemade barbecue sauce I’ve become kinda obsessed. I’ve made it my mission to try every different barbecue sauce recipe that I come across. And I am so glad I came across this bbq recipe.
This bbq sauce is by far the most delicious I have ever had. It is better than all my previous barbecue sauce recipes and any bottled version I’ve ever bought. It is so good I swear I could slather it on just about anything and it would be edible. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water.
I love this bbq sauce so much because of its intense flavors. It’s like a flavor party in your mouth. A little sweet, a bit spicy and so very tangy. If you’re looking for something bland and boring, then this is not for you.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 & 1/2 - 2lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (cooked for 3 hours on high in crockpot, cooled and shredded)
Directions:
- Mix all of the ingredients together in medium saucepan and heat thoroughly.
- Add shredded chicken to barbecue sauce and mix until coated and heated through. Serve in pita shells or on buns.
