Barbecue Pulled Pork Sliders

Applebees restaurant has little barbecue pork sliders that are super yummy.  So the inspiration for this recipe comes strictly from them.  I’m usually not a pork or red meat eater but there’s just something so delicious about it once it’s slathered in rich homemade barbecue sauce. I found a different barbecue sauce recipe to test out that’s based on ketchup and brown sugar.  It’s another winner!  It turned out sweet and tangy with just the [...]

Bacon Barbecued Chicken Kebabs

July 30, 2011 0 comments

Looking at these grilled chicken kebabs you’d never guess that bacon comes into play.  But since I had practically a whole package of bacon left from the grilled cheese and bacon potatoes, I decided to try this unique chicken kebab recipe.  And actually the way you prepare the bacon was quite weird to me. I’ve never heard of making a paste with bacon before but what the heck, I thought I’d give it a try.  [...]

Ever since I started making my own homemade barbecue sauce I’ve become kinda obsessed.  I’ve made it my mission to try every different barbecue sauce recipe that I come across.  And I am so glad I came across this bbq recipe. This barbecue sauce is so easy and just calls for mainly spices and ketchup.  If you keep a stocked pantry like I usually [...]

I’ve been holding on to a can of chipotle chilis in adobo sauce just for the heck of it.  And as I was flipping through my November issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray, I [...]

This barbecue sauce is now my absolute favorite by far.  I could not believe the flavors in this bbq sauce.  It is so delicious!  A little spicy but so worth it in the end. I told my husband that the next time I make chicken wings, this is the bbq sauce I’m gonna use.  If you like spicy and sweet all wrapped into one, this should be a must try for you.

Grilled Maple Chicken Skewers

June 24, 2010 0 comments

Chicken is a staple in our house, especially grilled during summer months.  But plain chicken gets so very boring.  So to give it a little kick, I like to try different sauces and marinades. Yesterday I gave this spicy maple barbecue sauce recipe a try.  It takes a good while for this sauce to thicken up but you do end up with a nice and sweet sauce.
