Dulce De Leche is one of two Wet N Wild ColorIcon Contouring Palettes ($3.99) now available only at Wal-Mart stores. This is the lighter of the two palette choices in the line.
Dulce De Leche includes a yellow toned highlight shade and a medium warm toned contour color. The other color choice, Caramel Toffee, includes a pink toned highlight and a slightly darker contour. Both powders, in each color option, are matte in finish.
The highlight color is fairly light in pigmentation. It reminds me a lot of the popular “banana” powders on the market so I find that the best place to use it is under the eyes. It works well to set my concealer while brightening up the area as well.
Using the yellow toned highlight elsewhere on my fair skin is more or less pointless. If you like a bold, noticeable cheek highlight, this isn’t for you. This is more for just brightening up areas of the face and is not going to give you any type of a glow.
The contour color is more pigmented than the highlight so it shows up better on the skin. It works well as an actual contour powder and/or an all over powder to warm up my skin. It’s a good color for me that doesn’t look too orange or muddy.
Both the highlight and contour powders are finely milled so they blend very nicely. They have a silky smooth texture that doesn’t look too cakey or powdery on the skin either.

My Final Thoughts:
I actually think this contouring palette is worth having. I’m really digging the way the highlight looks and wears as an undereye setting powder and the contour/bronzer works well for me too.
Have you tried either of these Wet n Wild palettes yet?
