The new Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipstick ($8.99 – 0.1 oz) is a collection of fifteen slim tube lip colors. These gel based lippies contain hyaluronic acid for a hydration boost. I bought the color Desert to try one out.
These lippies have a sweet fruity/coconut scent to them. It’s not overwhelming and I kinda like it.
The longer slim tube is a little deceiving because you really don’t get that much product. It only winds up to reveal a 1 and 1/4 inch length of lipstick.
Desert is a cute medium pink color. The formula itself is smooth and creamy.
It’s very nicely pigmented with a glossy finish. The coverage is not completely opaque but pretty darn close.
It has a nice light texture to it that feels like there’s nothing on your lips. It keeps my lips feeling soft and smooth the entire time it’s on.
Since the formula is so creamy, this HD gel lipstick is not long wearing or transfer proof. It actually wears off pretty quickly on me so it needs reapplied often.
To me this is just an average lipstick and nothing special. It’s a pretty color and finish but the formula doesn’t stand out as anything revolutionary.
