NYX Matte Lipstick in Hippie Chic, Pictures and Swatches

I confess, beauty and makeup videos on YouTube are my guilty pleasure.  Chelsea Wears in one of my favorites and recently she showed a collection of her NYX lipsticks.  One color that stood out to me that I haven’t tried was the NYX Matte lipstick in Hippie Chic.  So naturally when I found myself at Ulta the other day, I had to pick it up.

Hippie Chic is a pale peachy pink color.  This was my first NYX matte lipstick and I have mixed thoughts on it.  This lipstick can be a bit patchy on the lips even when you apply a lip balm first.  I found that mostly happens towards the inside of the lips so it’s not terribly noticable from a distance.  And if you add a gloss on top, it’s even less noticable.

I expected this NYX lipstick to be dry as a bone after a few minutes post application but it never dried totally matte.  For me, it stayed a bit glossy and still felt silky even after an hour of wear.  My lips didn’t dry out either, which was nice.

I’m in love with this color!  I think it looks really nice with my fair skin without being too much of a shocking pink.  What do you think of NYX Hippie Chic Matte lipstick?  Would you wear this color?
