Two new shades of the NYC City Proof Extended Wear lip glosses ($3.29) are currently available in their Fall 2012 Fashion Predator collection. Both of the colors are limited edition. I purchased the lighter of the two, Venomous Berry. The other limited edition color was a darker vampy red/wine color.
Venomous Berry is a cream shade with no sparkle or glitter. The color is fairly opaque and gives the lips a nice amount of color without needing a lipstick first. I like the feel of these lip glosses on the lips, they’re not goopy and they feel nice and light. Initially they don’t feel sticky at all but after a couple hours, they do get a bit tacky but not terribly so.
I really like this color, it’s a lighter berry shade leaning a bit on the purple side. This one has a lot of scent also. The scent reminds me a lot of mulberry scented candles. There’s no flavor to it and the scent only lingers for a few minutes.
