L’Oreal Glossy Balm ($7.99) comes in 8 different shades. I picked up Lovely Mocha and Vintage Rose to try out.
It seems like everyone has a version of these chubby pencil type lippies out so naturally L’Oreal jumped on the bandwagon. They are your typical shape and size with the product winding up and never needing sharpened.
I don’t detect any scent with these which is good since most L’Oreal lipsticks have a very unpleasant fragrance. Both of these shades are semi-sheer giving you moderate color but less than opaque coverage.
These glossy balms have a silky smooth texture that is soft and creamy and not waxy feeling. The color easily transfers to your lips without pulling or tugging.
They have a glossy finish on the lips that remains through the short wear time. These wear just like a light balm, they easily wear off and need reapplied often.
They do keep my lips feeling soft and moisturized. You don’t get that dried out feeling with these at all.
I do enjoy both of these colors. Lovely Mocha is light on the mocha, lol. It’s a very flattering nude pink color. Vintage Rose is way lighter than it looks in the tube. On my lips it’s a medium pink color with a hint of rose.
