Laura Mercier Shimmer Lipstick in Coral – Pictures and Swatches

Laura Mercier Coral Shimmer Lipstick ($24) is described as a medium apricot pink.  It’s definitely a medium pink but I think it’s more gold than apricot.  Because this lipstick contains a ton of tiny gold shimmer it gives it a hint of golden orange when the light hits it just right.

The texture of this lipstick is pretty nice.  It’s light and creamy with a good amount of pigment.  It feels smooth and soft on the lips with a nice glossy finish.  I was worried that with all the shimmer in this lipstick that it would look like sparkles on my lips.  But in fact, they’re barely noticeable.

Because of the light texture, my lips don’t dry out either.  This lipstick keep my lips nice and soft.  I don’t find this very long wearing though.  Since it’s so creamy, it tends to just rub off onto anything my lips touch.  But that’s ok, I like the color enough to reapply it as needed.
