Nude Mood is the original version of the E.L.F. Mad For Matte eyeshadow palette ($10). It includes a total of 10 neutral eyeshadow colors in a matte finish.
The all plastic packaging is nice and slim so it’s the perfect size that will fit in just about any makeup bag. The entire inside lid contains a nice sized mirror.
I love the color selection in this shadow palette. It’s a great stand alone palette to give you a complete eye look, as long as you like all matte eye looks.
I prefer neutral nude colors so this palette speaks to me. It reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette, only a lot cheaper!
When swatched on the arm, the Nude Mood shadows are a little light on pigmentation and did need to be built up. However, on the eyes they provide the perfect amount of color payoff.
They have a silky smooth texture to them so they blend beautifully. I’ve not had issues with patchiness or streakiness at all.
I can see that this matte palette is going to be a staple for everyday eye looks for me. I already reach for it just about daily.
In fact, I’ve been so impressed by this eyeshadow palette that I already went ahead and bought the other two versions of the Mad For Matte palettes. I’m currently testing those out and will post pics and swatches of each palette soon.
What do you think of this E.L.F. shadow palette? At only a $1 per color, it’s really worth a look.
