Fresh peaches are just coming into season so I couldn’t help but snag some at the grocery store the other day. I really wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them but I knew I’d think of something tasty. So, last night I got a hankering for some homemade crisp and luckily my peaches were here to volunteer for the job.
My peach crisp turned out so very tasty. I ate my serving while it was still nice and warm. I had to stop myself from eating the whole pan! If only I had some vanilla bean ice cream for on top.
4 – 5 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup oats
3/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 stick of cold butter
1. Preheat oven to 375°. Mix the first 4 ingredients in a bowl then transfer to a medium sized baking dish.
2. Mix the next 3 dry ingredients and then cut in the cold butter. Pour the dry butter mixture on top of the peaches.
3. Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until top is browned and edges are bubbling.
