My September Birchbox has arrived! This month’s box was neither exciting nor disappointing to me. It contained items I’ll try out but nothing I’d jump at the chance to try.
So, here’s what I got:
Befine Night Cream
Jouer Lip Enhancer (conditioning lip treatment)
Jurlique Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer
Salvatore Ferragamo Attimo Fragrance
Bonus: Birchbox Friendship Bracelet
Getting new facial products to try always makes me a bit nervous. My skin is super sensitive and whenever I try out new skin care, I more often than not breakout. I usually don’t switch up my routine because of that. The Befine cream smells really nice and says it is paraben and allergen free. I think I’ll give it a try and see what happens.
One of the things I don’t like about these samples is that sometimes they don’t give you a list of all of the ingredients. I realize that not everything can be printed on small labels but I wish a separate card would come with the Birchbox. Both the Befine and Jouer tubes are without ingredient lists.
The Jouer lip enhancer feels very nice on my lips. It has a nice scent and goes on smoothly. It feels similar to a lip gloss but is not sticky at all. I do wish it had a bit of flavor though.
I’m not a huge user of gel type hand sanitizers like the Jurlique. This one however smells amazing! It has a beautiful minty lavender scent. I’ll toss this in my purse and give it a whirl.
As for the Attimo fragrance, it also smells great. I’m usually not a fan of floral fragrances but this one is nice and light. It has a very pleasant peony and jasmine scent. Unfortunately the Birchbox card says that a full bottle costs $85! Way too expensive to me for a fragrance. I would not repurchase it for that price!
The bracelet, while cute, I probably won’t wear. It’s just a simple yarn type adjustable bracelet with a metal Birchbox logo charm. Cute but just not really my thing.
Not too bad this month Birchbox. I’d like to see more cosmetics in the coming months though. Looking forward to October’s box!
