Another year, another 12 months of Birchbox! Yippee! Today my January 2012 Birchbox just arrived and I can’t wait to dig in. Here we go…
What I got this month:
Juicy Couture fragrance – A nice and light floral scent. I’m not too into floral scents but this one smells pretty good.
FIX Malibu – It’s a tiny container of Immaculate Complexion Smoothing Serum. This thick gel like serum is full of vitamins and antioxidants and is supposed to soften wrinkles and brighten skin tone. I smoothed a bit on my hand and it felt like a silicone primer. It did smooth out and fill the fine lines and pores on my hand though. It smells really nice too!
Algenist Firming and Lifting Cream – A 0.5oz jar of Alguronic and ProPeptide cream to boost elastin and collagen production to tighten and lift skin. Not really scented, reminded me of a glue scent.
Zoya Nail Polish in Kendal – Love me some Zoya! This one is from their new collection and is a very light lavender purple. Great for Spring!
Wichcraft Granola – A tiny packet of toasted granola from Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio’s chain. Not my cup of tea, I didn’t like the taste at all.
All in all, the Birchbox for January 2012 was pretty good. Although I wish they wouldn’t give two skincare items in one box. I wish there would be a bit of variety every month; like one skincare item, one makeup item, one haircare item, and then one misc item. The miscellaneous item could be either a fragrance, a nail polish, food, etc.
Did you get this month’s Birchbox? If so, what did you think of the contents?
