Let’s get “Summer Chic” with our June 2014 Beauty Box 5.
“This month we recommend focusing on iconic (and easy!) hot weather basics – just apply sunscreen throw on a little white dress, and add a few coats of mascara to beat the heat!”

Now let’s check out the goodies I got:
Vita Bath Body Wash in Dreamy Pink Frosting 2 oz ($1.33) – This stuff smells amazing! Sweet and sugary just like cupcakes, yum!
I’ve never tried this brand before so I’m excited to try it out. It’s sulfate and paraben free so that’s a bonus too!
Nicka K New York Nail Polish in Ripe Apple ($4.99) – This is a deep blood red shade that really isn’t my style for Summer but I’ll save it to use in the Winter.
I got another shade from this line before in my December 2013 Ipsy bag but I have yet to try it. I do love the sleek packaging of the bottles though.
Organix Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner ($0.30) – I’ve tried other formulas of Organix shampoos and conditioners before and haven’t liked them. They never seem to clean my hair enough and I end up tangled. But I’ll give this one a go anyway.
Glam Natural Mascara ($?) – A vegan formula mascara that is gluten free, paraben free and hypoallergenic. Ok, I’m interested. Love how clean the brush comes out without any extra mascara all glooped up.
Eslor Introductory Collection Calming Kit ($15.49) – This kit contained 4 smaller sample sizes of different products; soothing cream, replenishing scrub, comforting mask, and soothing refiner & cleanser.
Each packet is 0.17 oz so not much for you to sample and know if something actually works enough to buy a full size.
Overall this month’s Beauty Box 5 was fairly decent. The retail value was well over $22 not including the mascara sample. There wasn’t a size listed on the tube for me to be able to calculate its value but a full size sells for $28.
What do you think of the products in this month’s box? Does it prompt you to want to subscribe?
