Chocolate pudding cake with vanilla cream cheese icing

Chocolate Pudding Cake With Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting

Boxed store brand cake mixes are good but you can make them even better by adjusting the ingredients just a bit.  By tweaking it a little it makes the cake super moist.  I always get a bunch of compliments  and people are surprised that it’s just a simple doctored up cake mix. I made this chocolate cake for hubs on Valentines Day; hence the red, white and pink M&M’s on top.  The cake is so [...]

Wet N Wild Megashield Lip Color – Within These Adobe Walls

February 28, 2012 2 comments

Do you like creamy, highly pigmented lipsticks?  How about if that tube of lipstick only cost $2.99?  I got your attention now don’t I! The Wet n Wild Megashield SPF 15 Lip Color line just came out at the beginning of February.  All of the colors looked extremely vibrant and for less than 3 bucks, I couldn’t not try one.  I bought the shade Within These Adobe Walls. The packaging is kinda cheaply made but [...]

NYX color lip balms

NYX Color Lip Balm in Arigato and Shukran – Review and Swatches

February 27, 2012 0 comments

NYX Color Lip Balms ($3.79) are recently new to Ulta.  They are a hydrating lip balm that are tinted with color.  12 different colors are available to choose from.  I bought the shades Arigato and Shukran. The colors look very vibrant on the outside label band and in the tube itself.  Once applied, they are much more muted on the lips.  They have a light fruity scent to them but zero flavor. Arigato is a [...]

Ulta Grin & Berry It

What’s On My Nails – Ulta Grin & Berry It

February 27, 2012 0 comments

This week I’m wearing a very pretty raspberry red color from Ulta.  Grin & Berry It is a cross between a vibrant red and a deep raspberry color.  From far away, the nails look red but up close and in bright light, you see that they’re actually a berry red. What do you think of Ulta’s Grin & Berry It?  Is this a color you’d wear this Spring and Summer?

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain ($32) is a recently new product in their line.  Yes, it is quite pricey so that’s why I carefully chose one color to purchase and try.  After long deliberating, I chose #18 Rose Pastelle.  I am in love with this color!  Rose Pastelle is a beautiful pale pink color, perfect for Spring. This YSL glossy stain has an ample sponge tip that makes applying it a breeze.  [...]

NYC City Proof Extended Wear Lip Gloss in Blush Forever

NYC, New York Color, lip gloss is always a good drugstore option in my opinion.  I really like the quality of their lip gloss and the prices are amazing.  For just a few bucks, they’ve got great color payoff and the texture is really nice.  That goes the same for their newest City Proof Extended Wear line of lip gloss. NYC City Proof Extended Wear Lipgloss ($3.49) in Blush Forever is a very pretty medium [...]

Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear blush

Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Ultra Smoothing Blush in Rose and Natural

February 22, 2012 0 comments

New for Spring from Physicians Formula are two beautiful Cashmere Wear Ultra Smoothing Blushes ($12.95).  So soft, smooth and luxurious that they are supposed to feel like cashmere.  I don’t know about all that, but they are pretty. These Cashmere Wear Blushes come in brown felted square boxes that open like a book.  I love that they have magnetic closures so they stay closed tight when not in use.  The front contains your blush while [...]
