Wet N Wild has a line of Photo Focus Concealer ($3.99) to go along with the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation. It’s currently available in 6 different colors. I picked up the lightest, Light Ivory.
Light Ivory is a little on the darker end of ivory and has a good bit of pink in it. This color would be much too dark for anyone with very pale porcelain skin.
For my fair skin, the color pretty much matches my skin tone. If I wanted to use this concealer to brighten my undereye area, it’s even too dark for me to do that.
Luckily I don’t like a bright under eye so this color is fine for me. The consistency runs right about in the middle.
It’s not a thin, runny formula but it’s not thick and mousse like either. It blends out really nicely with either a brush or damp makeup sponge.
Coverage for me seems to be about medium. I don’t have very dark under eye circles so this does the trick well enough for me. However, it doesn’t offer extreme coverage like Tarte Shape Tape Concealer does.
The finish ends up being pretty much matte, which I like. It doesn’t necessarily crease terribly for me but I do notice that it settles into finer lines as the day goes along.
It’s not terrible though, I’ve used much worse concealers that make my under eye look like the cracked Sahara. I find that it helps a little to not set this concealer with powder.
I feel a little “meh” about this Wet N Wild concealer. The Photo Focus foundation was such a win for me that I expected to experience just as much love for this concealer but it’s just not there.
It’s an OK concealer considering the price and coverage. However, I have other drugstore concealers that I like much more such as the Covergirl Outlast All Day Concealer.
