A couple months ago Wet N Wild released two really pretty 8 pan eyeshadow palettes for Spring but I missed out on them. A few weeks ago I heard rumblings that they may have re-released them for another go around. I was super excited to find this one at my local Rite Aid as the very last one in the entire display.
At first glance, Going In The Wild is a nice mixture of light and semi-dark shimmery shades. But sadly they are not as pigmented and vibrant as they look in the pan.
As expected, the browbone shades are light and will only work as highlight colors. But the eyelid and the crease shades on the left side are a real disappointment. They are super light and it took 3 swipes just to get a somewhat good swatch.
The brownish crease shade and both of the definer shades are a little off to me too. They come off kind of dirty looking and I’m not a real fan of them.
All of the shades in this palette are smooth and creamy. They apply and blend nicely but they just aren’t as pigmented as most of the Wet N Wild ColorIcon palettes tend to be. For the $5 price tag, I’ll keep it for my collection but I probably won’t grab for it very often.
Did you get your hands on the Going In The Wild palette? What were your thoughts on the shades?
