As the name suggests, the new Urban Decay Naked Heat palette ($54) is loaded with warm ???? eyeshadow colors. The gorgeous palette includes a total of 12 eyeshadows in matte, shimmer and metallic finishes. You also get a double ended shadow brush included.
The packaging alone is on fire! The top of the palette has a 3D look with vibrant shades of reds, orange and gold. So different from the last three Naked palettes!
It’s a heavy duty plastic case with a flip top lid. I love the strong magnetic closure and the generous sized mirror in the lid as well.
Looking at the inside of the palette alone makes me all warm and tingly. This palette starts off on the lighter side, with the first two colors being lighter in pigmentation and pretty close to my own skin tone.
As you move towards the right side of the palette, things start to warm up with lots more color payoff and intensity.
I’m surprised at how buttery smooth the majority of these eyeshadows are. Urban Decay shadows usually don’t disappoint but these ones feel extra fine and smooth in texture.
There are two exceptions though. Both of the colors He Devil and En Fuego feel dryer than the others so they can be a tad patchy and harder to blend out evenly.
The shimmers and metallics are stunning! The pics of my swatches don’t do them justice at all. They are buttery smooth, creamy and so pigmented.
The included brush is not your standard “throw away” brush like some brands include in their palettes. It’s a full size double ended brush with a blending brush on one end and a crease brush on the other. Both ends are super soft and fluffy.
If you love warm tones, then the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette is for you. I’m impressed with the quality and in love with the colors.
Available soon online at Urban Decay, Sephora and Ulta.
