A few weeks ago Sephora was offering a deluxe sized sample of the Too Faced Melted liquified liquid lipstick free with purchase. I’ve been wanting to try these for some time now but wasn’t in a hurry to pay $21 for the full size.
I just happened to be placing an order at that time so it worked out perfectly! I love when that happens. There’s nothing better than getting to try something for free that you’ve been dying to try!
The shade they were giving out was Melted Peony, a pretty pink color. These lippies come in squeeze tubes that have a slanted fuzzy applicator tip. Don’t squeeze too hard though cause a little goes a very long way.
These feel light and silky smooth on the lips, pretty much like a lipstick. They are nothing like a gloss as you might expect it would. They are not sticky feeling at all but stay semi-glossy throughout the wear time.
You really do get intense color with these. This one is super pigmented and gives my lips opaque coverage. The fuzzy tip acts like a brush to help smooth it out but it is a bit cumbersome and may not let you get that perfect edge.
I don’t find that the long wear claim is true with this one. It slides around my lips the entire time and easily transfers. You will need to reapply this, as you would with most lipsticks, when eating and drinking.
Overall I really like the color and coverage that this provides. I had hoped that it would have better wear time or at least stain your lips a bit but unfortunately it does not. But the color is really pretty so I’m happy to have it!
