I loved the Smoldering Satin color so much that I decided to buy another Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow ($24). I picked up Rose Gold Retro, a beautiful rose gold color with silver shimmery sparkles.
As with Smoldering Satin, Rose Gold Retro is extremely pigmented and gives nice opaque coverage. These are very hard to photograph since they are so, so sparkly but trust me, it’s stunning in person!
I’m still very much in love with this Stila Glitter & Glow formula. It goes on so smoothly and you only need a little bit for high intensity color and shimmer.
These liquid eyeshadows set fairly quickly so don’t mess with them too much after application. If you do, you’ll experience a lot of fall out.
My favorite way to apply them is to use the wand across my eyelid and then quickly dab it with my fingertips. That seems to give me the most even coverage and helps me to blend out the edges without the rough use of a brush.
They hold up so well on my oily eyelids. I get a full day’s wear without any creasing issues. Throughout the day I may get one or two specks of glitter that fall to my cheeks but really nothing too bothersome.
For as good as their staying power is, removal is surprisingly easy. Stila’s Magnificent Metals wipe right off of my eyelids with a moist makeup wipe without any rubbing or scrubbing needed.
I simply can’t say enough good things about these Glitter & Glow liquid eye shadows. I’m obsessed and I want every single color!
Stila recently released three new limited edition duo-chrome colors for summer that are beautiful. I ordered the color Sea Siren and will be sharing pics here really soon.
Available online at Stila Cosmetics, Sephora and Ulta.
