The Makeup Primer Spray by Skindinavia ($35) is an oil-free, paraben free fine mist facial spray. It’s available in an oil control formula and an original formula. I have oily skin so today I’m reviewing the oil control version.
If you’re like me, applying a makeup primer to the skin before foundation is a must. I was skeptical that a spray primer could be as effective, but I was very wrong.
Skindinavia’s silicone-free primer spray comes out in a super fine mist. I quickly spray my face with a very light layer and let it dry completely, which only takes a minute or two.
Once dry, it doesn’t feel like there’s anything on my face. It feels very light, almost refreshing, and doesn’t make my skin feel weird or tight at all.
It’s not quite fragrance free but the scent it really light. It just has a soft clean, fresh smell to it that doesn’t last long after application.
To me it seems like my pores look instantly better. My face just looks smoother and my pores look smaller.
This primer spray doesn’t negatively affect the way my foundation applies at all. It goes on smoothly and evenly since the spray dries down nicely without leaving any stickiness.
For me, foundation usually breaks down on my oily skin mainly in my t-zone area and on the apples of my cheeks. After using this Skindinavia primer spray for weeks now, I can happily report that this stuff works really well for me.
The oil on my skin is kept at bay throughout the day for the most part. The worst area for me has always been my nose. With this spray, the foundation still breaks down on my nose by the end of the day but nothing like it normally does with other primers.
And the other parts of my t-zone and cheeks do not get oily at all and my makeup stays looking fresh. I even have noticed that my blush still looks great at the end of the day as well, with no fading.
Overall I highly recommend this Skindinavia Makeup Primer Spray. It’s quick and easy to apply and works good too.
