Revlon has recently added a collection of Kiss Balms ($5) to their line. There are 6 different flavors/colors to choose from. They are made with natural fruit oils and contain broad spectrum SPF 20.
Size wise, they are shorter than your average crayon style lippie and contain less product at 0.09 oz. They are in a twist up tube so no need for sharpening.
Of all the flavors available, only this Tropical Coconut one is clear from color. From what I’ve seen online, the others all provide your lips with a tint of coordinating color.
The formula claims to provide lasting hydration, however I don’t find that to be accurate for my lips. When on the lips, this Kiss Balm feels smooth and silky. It doesn’t feel greasy at all and feels nice and light.
During the time it remains on the lips, it does make my lips feel soft and hydrated. But unfortunately this lip balm doesn’t wear for very long at all.
It seems to wear off of my lips within about 30 minutes of application. Once it wears off, my lips go right back to feeling dry. I don’t find that I get any lasting results from this balm.
I love the way it smells though and the fact that application is quick and easy. But it’s not something I can reach for in these dry winter months to relieve chapped lips.
I find this Revlon balm works best for me as part of my makeup routine. I put it on while I’m doing my makeup and it keeps my lips soft until I apply a lipstick or liquid lip color.
If you don’t mind reapplying a lip balm often, this is also a good one to keep in your purse. It really is effortless to use and you gotta love the yummy coconut scent and flavor it has!
