My spring 2012 New Beauty test tube of samples from QVC is here! I’m on the auto delivery plan and this is my third test tube out of six total shipments. I previously posted what I got in my first New Beauty test tube and the fall New Beauty test tube.
I love these QVC New Beauty Test Tubes because they are a great value. You usually get a few full size products along with deluxe size samples. The samples in the test tubes are way bigger that the average samples you get with Birchbox.
At only $29.96 plus shipping you get 9 beauty and makeup products to try plus that month’s issue of the New Beauty magazine. That averages out to only $3.33 per item, not including the magazine!
Here’s what I got:
Tarte emphasEyes Aqua Gel Eyeliner in Navy (full size)
Mally Volumizing Mascara (full size)
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum (0.5 oz)
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate (0.5 oz)
Philosophy Field of Flowers – shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath (1 oz)
Nick Chavez Yucca Root Shampooing Cream (2 oz)
Calista Tools Achieve 10 Hair Styling Cream (2 oz)
Philosophy Field of Flowers Body lotion (1 oz)
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Skin Cream (2 oz)
New Beauty Magazine
First off, the two full size products are amazing! I’m a huge Tarte fan and I’ve been wanting to try the emphasEyes Aqua Gel eyeliners. They’re supposed to be long wearing like gel eyeliners and the navy color is beautiful! It’s a dark navy color with tint bright blue sparkles. I can’t wait to test it out and write a full review about it.
Mally volumizing mascara is awesome! I already own a tube and love it. It gives nice volume and amazing length. Yeah for me, now I have a backup tube!
I am also currently using the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I bought it sometime before Christmas to replace my empty bottle of Origins Plantscription serum. So far I like it. It has a gel like consistency that smooths out nicely and smells like citrus.
I’m super excited to try the ExfoliKate. I’ve been tempted to buy this before but wasn’t sure how my sensitive skin would react to it. Not too crazy about the medicinal scent though.
As for the rest of the items, they all smell really nice and I’m excited to try them out. The Philosophy Field of Flowers is surprisingly not overwhelming. I expected a strong floral scent but it’s actually soft and light.
So what do you think? In your opinion, is the New Beauty Test Tube worth purchasing? It is still available to purchase on QVC.com.

I don’t think this one is the spring 2012 as I got this one back in January and the next one is supposed to come out next month, in April, which is spring. My Tarte eyeliner was dry and scraped my lids when applying. I emailed Tarte and sent it back. They quickly sent out a replacement that was nice and smooth and lasts all day until I remove it. The FAB Ultra Repair Cream is amazing. I used it to clear up mine and my daughters eczema. We liked it so much I cut the tube open when it was empty so we could get a few more uses out of it. I agree, I don’t care for the smell of the ExfoliKate. I think the beauty tube is definitely worth the price. I cannot wait for the next one and in fact, found your site by Googling, trying to see if anyone had the scoop on what the April one contained.

Hi Kat, glad you found me! Wow, that was great of Tarte to replace the eyeliner. That’s great customer service on their part. Good for them! I can’t wait to see what’s in the next one too!

Do you know when the next test tube comes out? Would it be July?

I checked my QVC auto delivery schedule and it says my next shipment will be around August 7th. So they will probably present it on air the 15th or 22nd. It’s usually a Friday evening. I’ll keep everyone updated though on Facebook and Twitter when I see it’s coming on.
