This weekend the QVC New Beauty Test Tube for April 2012 debuted ($29.96). The Test Tube is a collection of various makeup, skincare and haircare samples. Some beauty samples are deluxe, travel size and/or full size.
Since I was on auto-delivery from a few months back, I received mine a few days ago. Here’s what came in this month’s QVC New Beauty Test Tube in addition to the Spring-Summer 2012 New Beauty magazine pictured.
Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free Regenerator (0.5oz) – A gel cream texture that helps regenerate, moisturize, firm, calm and brighten the appearance of dull, damaged, wrinkled or overexposed skin. The light pinkish red color comes from the ingredient Dragon’s blood from the Amazon Croton Lechleri tree which is supposed to refresh aged skin and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. It has a light sweet scent and feels really nice. It’s smooth and silky almost like a silicone based primer.
StriVectin-SD (0.5oz) – An intensive cream concentrate that reduces the appearance of stretch marks and wrinkles in as little as 8 weeks. Smooths on nicely with a minty scent.
Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash (2oz) – I’ve had this before and like it very much. It’s a gentle exfoliating facial cleanser. I find it perfect to use it right before I provide my facial skin with red light therapy which helps naturally decrease its oil production. This size retails at Sephora for $9.00.
WEN Lavender Cleansing Conditioner (6oz) – Also a product I’ve used before and like. It takes the place of your shampoo and conditioner to leave your hair silky soft and shiny.
Philosophy Amazing Grace 3 in 1 (2oz) – Shampoo, bath and shower gel in one. This is a nice, light, feminine scent.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Body Moisturizer (2.5oz) – A body moisturizer that gives your skin a bronze glow buildable over time. This lotion goes on white and has a nice light floral fragrance. Excited to see if this one works!
Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick in Twilight (full size) – I’m a fan of these long-lasting eyeshadow sticks but didn’t have this color. It a nice shimmering chocolate brown color. Retails for $25.00.
Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Adored (full size) – Another favorite of mine but this one is a bubblegum pink with fine darker pink sparkles. These LipSurgence lip tints are a nice blend between a lipstick and a lip gloss with a minty fragrance. Retails for $24.00.
For the total cost of this edition of the QVC New Beauty Test Tube, this was an amazing value. The two full size products (Mally and Tarte) alone came to more than what I paid for the test tube with shipping. I’m excited for every product in this bunch! There’s not one thing I don’t like. You can still get the New Beauty test tube on QVC.com for a limited time.

I hear that even the magazine isn’t half bad. This one seems like it really is a good value!

Hi Donna. Yes, these test tubes are pretty much always a good value. The full size products are what make it so worth while. The magazine isn’t bad but I still prefer Allure and People Style Watch over New Beauty any day!

I just stumbled onto your blog. So glad I did! I recently joined birchbox.com and was not sure if this was similar or not. Your blog helped me make my decision (to order of course!). Anyway, thank you!!
