There’s a new beauty sample subscription box in town! Play by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that includes 5 deluxe sized samples for only $10 per month, including shipping.
There is currently a waitlist that you have to sign up on a first come, first serve basis. I was recently just accepted and received my very first box the other day.
If all of the boxes are like this one, this is THE beauty/makeup subscription box to sign up for. Everything is the box is from high-end beauty brands so it’s well worth the measly $10 you pay for it.
I’m in love with every sample I received. The Bite Beauty lipstick and Tarte Tarteist liner are my faves of the bunch. And everything came packaged in the cutest cotton bag that says “Let’s Beauty Together” on the front.
A look at what I got in my May 2016 Play by Sephora:
Origins Maskimizer Mask Primer, Clear Improvement and Drink Up Intensive Masks ($2.70) – A marine algae complex misting spray that is supposed to optimize your skin for the best mask experience. Interesting. They gave us two Origins mask samples to try it with.
Korres Wild Rose Brightening Sleeping Facial ($12) – Sleeping facial masks seem to be gaining speed lately but I have yet to try one. This one contains wild rose oil and is supposed to brighten and moisturize skin while you sleep.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask ($9) – A hydrating hair treatment that claims to repair damaged hair and repair breakage up to 81% after 3 uses.
Tarte Tarteist Lip Crayon in Latergram ($1.80) – A highly pigmented lip liner in a natural mauve color. Goes on smoothly giving opaque coverage with a matte finish.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Kimchi ($8.66) – WOW, I’m not normally a fan of bright pink lipsticks but this color is gorgeous! It’s so creamy and mega pigmented. One swipe gives my lips opaque coverage with a nice glossy finish. It has a nice minty scent too which is nice but not over powering.
Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine – A fragrance sample of blood oranges, orange peel and geranium. It does smells light and refreshing but I hate that it is not a spray sample.
Overall my first impression of the Play by Sephora box is nothing short of amazing. The retail value for all of my samples came to $34.16, not including the perfume. Pretty darn good for only shelling out $10.
I recommend you get yourself on the Play by Sephora waitlist asap! Can’t wait to see what comes next month.
