This is only my second month getting Play By Sephora in the mail and I’m still super impressed. For only $10 a month you get an adorable fabric bag with 5 deluxe size beauty product samples plus a bonus fragrance sample.
This month included 3 things I’ve been wanting to try plus a mascara that I already know I love. The hair product sounds interesting and even the perfume smells good. What more could you ask for!
Here’s what I got:
Tarte Tarteguard Sunscreen Lotion ($4.32) – First off, how adorable is the packaging!? It’s an antioxidant infused, non-chemical SPF 30 sunscreen lotion that protects and moisturizes the skin. Love that it doesn’t have that sunscreen smell.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara ($8) – Already a huge fan of this mascara. It gives my lashes amazing length. Excited to have a travel size backup tube.
Bare Minerals Bare Skin Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer ($2.80) – I saw this stuff presented on QVC recently and it really caught my eye. It’s a liquid serum bronzer that you can add to your foundation or over foundation for a sun-kissed look. It has a watery thin texture so it’s super easy to blend out. So far I’m liking it, it has a very natural look to it.
Becca Backlight Priming Filter ($7.60) – This makeup primer is infused with three luminescent pearls that gives the skin a radiant glow while blurring imperfections. It’s very subtle and doesn’t look glittery at all.
Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It Hair Styler ($3.10) – A hair cream made for air-dried hair. It’s supposed to add body and enhance texture. I never use dry heat on my curly hair so I’m excited to try this out.
Tocca Florence Perfume ($2) – A floral blend with notes of pear, apple and white musk. Even though it’s mainly floral, which I usually hate, this smells nice. It’s very light and not over powering.
Good stuff right? The retail value of this Play by Sephora box came to $27.82.
I still give this subscription service two big thumbs up. Sign up on the Play by Sephora waitlist.
