The May 2017 Play by Sephora box features rising stars in the beauty industry. This month we received products from brands that are making their mark, and fast!
First thing I’d like to mention this month is the freaking adorable bag! I was so excited to see the departure from the standard white cloth printed bags.
Those are cute, don’t get me wrong. But this clear plastic envelope bag is so much fun! I’ll definitely reuse this one.
Here’s what came in the May #SephoraPlay box:
Skin Laundry Gentle Foaming Face Wash ($5.13) – A gel facial cleanser that removes dirt, excess oils and impurities without irritating sensitive skin. It contains cucumber and chamomile extracts so it has a nice pleasant fragrance.
Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask ($6.38) – A conditioning hair treatment to treat damaged, dull hair and create shine. Pretty cool that it is 100 percent natural and made with certified organic ingredients. Has a wonderful lavender and eucalyptus scent.
Belif Hungarian Water Essence ($5.48) – A lightweight water based facial serum to help hydrate the skin. Contains a bunch of herbal extracts but it has no scent to it.
NudeStix Magnetic Matte Lip Color in Greystone ($21) – A lip color, lip stain and lip liner all in one. This creamy lippie is so pigmented and opaque. The color is a rich chocolate brown with a hint of grey. It has a matte finish and is super long lasting. Not my kind of lip color but the formula is amazing!
Trestique Mini Highlight Stick in Maldives Luminescent ($9) – A creamy highlighter in a pretty champagne color with a hint of pale pink. Seems to blend out well, is nicely pigmented and doesn’t contain shimmer.
Tocca Stella Fragrance ($2.11) – A delicious scent of blood oranges with hints of lily, white freesia and sandalwood. I didn’t think I would like this but it smells really fresh for summer.
This month’s #sephoraplay box was pretty good. I enjoyed getting to try a bunch of new (to me) brands. The total retail value of my samples came to around $49.
