The June 2017 Play by Sephora box aims to help us kick off summer with “summer starters”. This month they returned back to the white all cotton bag with an adorable summer themed print on the front.
Here’s what came in the June #SephoraPlay box:
Benefit POREfessional Face Primer ($4.13) – This is the tiniest sample tube I think I’ve ever gotten from a brand! I do already own the full size which does a good job at filling in pores but it really doesn’t help my makeup last longer on my oily skin.
DevaCurl Supercream Coconut Curl Styler ($8.24) – I love curl creams so I’m excited to try this brand. It’s supposed to give frizz free, silky soft curls. It’s super humid here already so I’m all in on this one!
Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist ($6) – A makeup setting spray with SPF 50. It has a nice fine mist which I enjoy but it has a super strong alcohol scent when you spray it on. I’m glad it doesn’t have a strong sunscreen scent though.
Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture Curl Whip Styling Souffle ($6.50) – Another nourishing curl cream to help combat frizz. I can use all the help I can get so I’m also excited to try this brand out. My curly hair can always use more control!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick ($9.09) – A highly pigmented liquid lipstick in a beautiful mauve pink color. Has a matte finish and does feel a bit drying on the lips like most matte liquid lipsticks do.
Versace Bright Crystal Fragrance ($1.65) – A very strong floral scent made up of yuzu, peony, magnolia and lotus flower. A little too strong for my liking.
Overall this was a pretty good month. I’m excited to be able to try a few different hair products that I normally would have never considered. The liquid lipstick color is right up my alley as well.
The retail value of my Sephora Play samples came to $35.61.
