Play by Sephora is showing us their softer side for February’s box. This month’s beauty samples came in a pretty blush colored silk-like drawstring bag. Exciting brands were featured this month such as Nars, Too Faced, Origins and more!
Here’s what came in the February #SephoraPlay box:
Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer ($4.56) – An oil free facial moisturizer that is supposed to also blur skin’s imperfections. It’s great for oily skin so I’m excited to see how this works for me.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream ($10.20) – Coffee beans, ginseng and magnolia extract work to brighten and depuff the undereye area. Sounds good to me!
Sephora Lashcraft Length and Volume Mascara ($3.43) – A lengthening mascara that keeps lash definition and separation. I tried this the other day and actually like it very much. It does give good added length while keeping my lashes looking fluffy.
Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Milkshake ($4.72) – This stuff is awful! My lips have never hurt more before than with this lip plumping gloss. It’s a pretty pale nude shade but stings like a b**ch! I had it on only long enough to get swatch photos then urgently took it off. My lips were beet red and hurt for several minutes later. Will NEVER try again, lol.
Nars Velvet Lip Glide in Bound ($9.09) – A really creamy and pigmented formula in a beautiful rosy mauve color. This is supposed to be long lasting and semi-matte but it’s neither to me. It has a high gloss finish and transfers easily. It feels soft and lightweight on the lips with no stickiness. I really like this one.
Marc Jacobs Divine Decadence ($2.88) – This smells amazing. Bright, floral and a little bit sexy. Top notes of champagne extract, orange blossom and creamy bergamot. Rounded out with gardenia, hydrangea, honeysuckle, saffron, vanilla and liquid amber.
I definitely think this #SephoraPlay deserves two big thumbs up ????????! I’m excited about everything except for that darn Too Faced lip plumper. All of my samples combined for a retail value of $34.88.
