December’s Play by Sephora box was all about the party! ???? They’ve really been on a roll lately and this month was no exception. So much good stuff from some really great brands. Let’s take a look!
Here’s what came in the December #SephoraPlay box:
Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer ($13.35) – A flesh toned primer to even out your skin tone. It doesn’t have an overly silicone feel, which is nice. It does an ok job at smoothing things out but does nothing for controlling oil.
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo ($7.42) – I have naturally curly hair so unfortunately I can’t go without washing my hair daily so I’m not a dry shampoo user.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray ($7.50) – Already a huge fan of this setting spray. It does a good job of taking away that dry powder look and locking my makeup in for all day wear.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara ($16.87) – I’m really enjoying this mascara. It gives my lashes really nice added volume and length. Doesn’t smudge or budge all day.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red ($3.32) – OMG! This matte liquid lipstick is so pigmented! One light swipe gives full opaque coverage. It dries quickly to a nice matte finish. It does not transfer and does not dry out my lips. So pretty!
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose Fragrance ($4.55) – Not crazy about this one. It has a very strong woodsy and roses smell to it along with a strong hint of drinking alcohol. Very overwhelming.
Last thing I want to mention is the adorable bag. I was so pleased to see that they gave us something other than the usual white bag. It gave strong New Year’s vibes, which was perfect.
Overall I liked everything this month except for the dry shampoo and the fragrance sample. Total retail value of my samples came to $53.01 this month.
