The Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting BB Cream ($14.95) is an interesting new concept that I haven’t seen any other brands do…yet. The idea of having a simple bb cream that gives my skin a nice subtle glow was too hard to pass up. Unfortunately subtle is not the word I would use to describe this product.
This bb cream comes in a squeeze tube and contains 1.2oz of product. It does contain a broad spectrum SPF 20 as well. I bought the shade light to medium but there is also a medium to dark color choice as well.
A warning to those of you who have fair or light skin like myself, this stuff is super dark! When applied with my hands it went on pretty thick and made me look ridiculously bronzed and almost orange.
I also tried applying it with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Makeup Sponge which was much better. The sponge helped me get a thinner, more even application. This made the bb cream more wearable and less orange looking.
It gives pretty good coverage but to be honest it’s so dark that it will pretty much camoflauge any redness and blemishes. The finish does make your skin look sun touched and glowing which was really nice.
However I find that this is so pigmented that it’s really hard to blend it into my neck without it being super obvious on me. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do with this stuff yet. I’m leaning towards returning it since it is so pricey for what it is.
I may try mixing it with another bb cream or foundation to tone down the pigmentation first though. Or I may try wearing a light application under a foundation and see what that does. Hmm, decisions decisions!
What do you think about a bronzing bb cream? Does that sound like something you would wear?

I’d try to wear it as a liquid/cream bronzer or contouring product, you’d only need a tiny bit and it would last quite long. Thanks for the swatch, I was just searching for a review on this on the web and when I saw this I was like: omfg, this SHADE…

Unfortunately I returned it a while back, I just couldn’t get it to work for me.
