Today is an exciting day for Orly nail polish fans! Orly has just released their brand new Breathable Treatment + Color line. And I have two of the colors to show you, TLC and Barely There.
This new technology eliminates the need for a basecoat and topcoat. This is great news for me since my manicures always consist of at least 4 layers.
What makes the Breathable line special is their advanced oxygen technology that lets air and hydration pass through the nail polish to the actual nail itself. It also contains Argan Oil, Vitamin B5 and Vitamin C to keep the nails nourished.
The formula is great. TLC gave me opaque coverage in just one coat but I still applied two to even things out. Barely There gave me opaque coverage in two thin coats.
I did notice that the formula is a bit more runny than normal nail polishes. It’s still very easy to work with but something to keep in mind before globbing on too much polish like I did at first.
This Orly Breathable seems to dry quicker as well. I was able to do two coats and run out the door within 30 minutes. I didn’t get any smudging or any smearing so that impressed me as well.
It has a nice glossy finish and I can honestly say that I don’t miss the topcoat. Two coats of Breathable looks just as good as my normal basecoat, two layers of color and topcoat.
The line includes 18 beautiful colors and is available now online at Orly and in stores in August 2016.
