Milani‘s newest Retouch + Erase Light Lifting Concealer ($9) comes in a range of 6 colors. This concealer is supposed to erase dark circles, spots, blemishes and imperfections while also brightening the face.
As you can see, this concealer is packaged in a squeeze tube with a sponge tip applicator. The sponge has a tiny hole in the middle where the product comes up through.
You’re supposed to use the sponge to blend out the concealer but I find that it is very stiff. This makes it too difficult for me to evenly and smoothly blend it out seamlessly.
Instead, I just dab it under my eyes with the applicator and then blend it out with either a damp beauty blender or a brush. The formula blends out very easily.
I picked up the second shade, Light, which is still pretty light for my fair skin. But I think it’s meant to be like that for the brightening effect.
The consistency is right in the middle. It not too thin or watery but it’s not too thick either. It does do a really good job at brightening the undereye area but it is a little light on the coverage.
I don’t have really dark circles so it works pretty well for me. But anyone with darker circles probably won’t find that this Milani concealer gives enough coverage.
The best part about this concealer is that it stays crease free on me all day. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines at all, which is awesome.
As you may be able to tell, I have very mixed feelings on this concealer. I’m not a real fan of the packaging or the amount of coverage it offers but I do like that it doesn’t crease and that it brightens the undereye area really well.
I’ll use this tube up but I probably wouldn’t repurchase the Milani Retouch + Erase concealer.
