Milani Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipsticks ($5.99) come in a range of 8 different colors. I picked up Matte Naked and Matte Blissful.
Matte lippies are very on trend for 2015 so naturally Milani had to jump on the bandwagon. Just like the other Color Statement lipsticks I’ve tried, this new matte formula is very creamy and pigmented.
I’m loving the opaque coverage these give my lips as well. They go on so smoothly and leave my lips looking matte but not dry or cakey.
Most matte lipsticks tend to dry out your lips as you wear them. These Milani ones do not do that. My lips stay feeling hydrated while the formula itself stays feeling creamy as well.
Even though these are quite creamy, they stay longer on my lips than an average lipstick does. I can eat and drink while wearing them and there will still be a good bit of color left on my lips.
Luckily I’ve been staying on top of my dry lips this winter so they aren’t chapped or peeling at the moment. But I did have a dry spot last week that these did cling to. Just make sure you exfoliate your lips before you apply them.

The Final Verdict:
I’m really enjoying these two colors. Matte Naked is a very natural looking color that’s perfect for everyday wear. Matte Blissful is a little bright for my liking but I just add a bit of the Matte Naked to tone it down a bit.
The formula is pretty great as well. I like that these are soft and creamy with really good color payoff. They do remind me a lot of the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks but these are a touch more matte.
