There are 6 new limited edition shades out in Maybelline’s Dare To Go Nude collection for Spring 2014. I was only able to get my hands on three of the shades; Beige-ing Beauty, Nude Compliment and Sleek & Spice.
Beige-ing Beauty looks like a peachy light orange color in the container. Once swatched it becomes a light champagne color with golden glitter in it. The glitter is quite obvious with this one so if you don’t like glittery colors then stay away from this one.
It is also quite sheer and hard to build up to wear alone. I will most likely wear this one as either a base for powder shadows or as a topper. It does give a nice pop of shimmer when you tap it with your fingers on top of a powder eyeshadow.
Nude Compliment is a medium taupe shade with a metallic finish. It has hints of gray to it depending on how the light hits it. It has nice opaque coverage and is easily buildable.
This one works great as a stand alone shade. It also has great staying power even without a primer. I’m able to get a full 10 hours of wear without any creasing.
Sleek & Spice is my absolute fave! In fact I think it’s my favorite out of all of the Maybelline Color Tattoos I have so far. It looks really close to Nude Compliment in the container but it’s actually a bit darker and more brown.
This one also has a metallic finish and is really opaque. It has a slight golden bronze sheen to it in the light. I love this as an all-over lid color and it gives me all day wear as well.
All three of these shades are really creamy and not dry at all. However, Sleek & Spice seems just a tad more smooth and “slippery” than the other two but they all apply nicely.
I’m really happy to have all three of these colors in my Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow collection. Have you tried any of these yet?
