As part of the Spring 2014 Dare To Go Nude collection Maybelline has released 4 limited edition shades of Color Sensational lipsticks ($7.99). I bought two of the shades, Ravishing Rose and Nude Embrace.
I picked these up at the same time I picked up two limited edition nude Color Elixir shades from the same collection. I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the color payoff of those glosses but these lipsticks I am in love with!
Ravishing Rose is a bright light pink in the tube which made me nervous. I normally don’t like pale pinks with my fair skin but this one is beautiful. It’s not too pale giving me a dead look but still contrasts with my skin perfectly.
Nude Embrace is a unique shade for my lipstick collection. It is a light brown nude color but has hints of purplish pink. I love the way it looks on my lips. Gives just the right amount of color while still being quite neutral.
I give these two shades a big thumbs up and would recommend you check them out asap since they are limited edition. They didn’t look like exciting colors in the tubes but trust me, they look much different on the lips. I’m so glad I threw caution to the wind and decided to try them. They are my two new faves for Spring!
