Recently I made my first visit to a CCO and picked up a few things. What is a CCO? It’s the Cosmetics Company Store outlet where you can get certain high end cosmetics and skincare items at discounted prices. Most of the items are discontinued limited edition products so I won’t tease you with those. However I did pick up this MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme lipstick in the shade Dress It Up, which is still available to purchase at MAC.
Dress It Up is a light blue based pink color. I like these lipsticks because they are so light. I’m not into thick, heavy lipsticks so I enjoy something so light and creamy smooth like these. This lipstick is very pigmented and didn’t take much to fully cover my lips. It has a slightly glossy finish but I like to add just a touch of light pink gloss on top.
MAC claims that these should last on your lips for as long as 12 hours. I don’t get nearly that long when I wear it but it does seem to stick on my lips a bit longer than traditional lipsticks. I think it’s almost impossible for a lipstick to last all day unless you don’t eat, drink or even lick your lips.
If you live in the Pittsburgh area, you can find a CCO store either at the Grove City outlets or the Tanger Outlets in Washington, PA. You won’t find stuff at drop dead bargain basement prices but it’s always nice to save a few bucks. Discounts vary per item and don’t go much beyond about 30% off. MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme lipsticks retail for $18 from MAC but I bought this at the CCO for only $12.
Have you ever been to a CCO? What kind of discounts have you scored there?
