It had been so long since I had a good old Rice Krispie treat. I had been craving them but wanted to try something different. Hubs loves Lucky Charms cereal and I knew I had seen other bloggers make krispie treats with Lucky Charms so I gave it a try.
I do think next time I will still use some Rice Krispies with the Lucky Charms though. There were a lot of empty nooks and crannies because of the odd cereal shapes. I like my marshmallow bars a bit more dense but these were still yummy.
Beware though, Lucky Charms marshmallow treats are very sweet. But I did like how crunchy the cereal stayed in bar form. Hubs of course loved them and devoured the whole pan with maybe a little help. 😉
Ingredients:
- 1 small box Lucky Charms cereal
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
Directions:
- Spray a 13×9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large pot, melt butter and marshmallows until smooth. Stir in cereal until combined.
- Pour into pan and press evenly with fingers sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Let cool and cut into squares.

Ha – I thought about this the other day and you already have it – looks great! We do a lot of cake pops in orange county, but these look like a fun change.

Thanks Eric! They’re a nice change of pace, give them a try and let me know what you think.
