The L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara ($6.97) is new to the Voluminous line. Inspired by Japanese comics and doll like lashes this mascara promises “15x lash volume for an ultimate wide eye look.” Let’s see if this one lives up to the hype!
What caught my eye first was naturally the packaging. The adorable panda faces with long lashes are super cute. And the pink and black colors of the mascara tube are nice and sleek looking.
One key feature of this mascara is it’s 360° flexor brush. I didn’t think it would make much difference in mascara application but I was quite wrong.
I actually think the flexible brush head makes it so much easier to apply. It let’s you get in tight spaces and sort of conforms to your eye shape. You have more flexibility instead of working with a stiff long wand and brush head.
The brush is a nice size, not tiny but not ginormous either. It has a tapered shape that comes to a point at the end.
The formula is a bit on the wet end of the spectrum. It easily glides through my lashes without clumping or flaking. I have been using this for a few weeks now and am pretty much in love with it.
This mascara does give my lashes added volume and length. 15x volume? Well not really but enough to make me reach for it everyday now. I love that it keeps my lashes nice and separated but not spidery looking.
I have been using this on both top and bottom lashes and have had zero problems with smudging in warmer weather. That’s pretty good for me considering I usually use waterproof versions in the summer to keep smudging at bay.
Since it is a powerhouse wear wise, it is a bit difficult to remove. Makeup wipes do not do the trick for me at all. I have to use eye makeup remover and cotton pads to get this sucker off.
I give this L’Oreal Miss Manga mascara two huge thumbs up. I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. I love the packaging, the formula, the flexible brush and the wear time. I would definitely repurchase this one in a heartbeat!
