L’Oreal LA Palette Nude 2 is one of two recently released 10 pan neutral eyeshadow palettes. While Nude 1 is more of your true neutral browns/tans, Nude 2 has a nice mix of browns and purple toned colors.
The first thing I’d like to make mention of is the price. At most drugstores and Ulta, you can find these palettes priced at a whopping $19.99! While at Walmart you can get it for a little less at $15.84.
I stood my ground and refused to buy this sucker at full price for weeks, even though I was very tempted. I stayed patient and stacked my coupons at CVS and finally scored it for only $7.49 including tax!
The packaging is sleek black plastic that isn’t too big or bulky. There is a pretty generous sized mirror in the lid and comes with a double ended applicator. One end is your typical sponge applicator and the other end is a small, soft brush.
After being semi-disappointed in the Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette, I wasn’t holding out hope at all for this L’Oreal palette. The color choices in the Nude 2 were really appealing to me so it finally won me over.
I’m so happy that L’Oreal chose to give us both matte and shimmer shades in the palette. Nude 2 includes 6 matte colors and 4 shimmer shades. The darker colors definitely give more color payoff than the first few lighter colors in the palette.
However, I’m really quite impressed by the pigmentation of all of them. They apply really nicely and have a silky smooth texture, even the mattes. They aren’t dry and chalky at all and the shimmer shades don’t have any fallout issues.

My Final Thoughts:
I’m happy to report that I really like the L’Oreal LA Palette Nude 2. I think the eyeshadow colors are very wearable for everyday so I’ll get a lot of use from this one.
Is it worth shelling out $20 for a drugstore palette? No, even after using it for a few weeks, I still think the price is a little steep. But if your patient, collect your coupons and watch for sales, you can get it a lot cheaper like I did.
